African Swine Fever
African Swine Fever (ASF) is a devastating viral disease that has ravaged pig populations worldwide, with no known vaccine or effective treatment. With its arrival in PNG, our challenge was to deliver clear and consistent messaging on how to curb ASF and minimise its impact on livelihoods, food security, and traditional customs. The disease outbreak in the Southern Highlands, Enga, and Hela provinces necessitated that we educate villagers, farmers, and the wider public about the signs and symptoms of ASF. We devised a creative campaign to arm them with practical prevention methods and to counter misinformation.
