National Banking Corporation
Born from the legacy of People’s Micro Bank, National Banking Corporation stepped into a new era: state-backed, future-focused, and committed to making modern banking inclusive and accessible for all Papua New Guineans. Beyond a visual refresh, the bank required strategic realignment to support its evolution. We delivered a full rebrand and 360° launch campaign, shaping everything from topline tone of voice to bespoke collateral rollout—driven by a research-led strategy involving stakeholder workshops, competitive benchmarking, and a full brand audit to understand legacy perceptions. As the next bank for the nation, the challenge lay in creating a brand that could speak to the full breadth of PNG—reaching from grassroots market networks in rural areas to enterprise leaders in the heart of the country’s economic hubs. While the name and logo were inherited, we defined all other facets of the brand. We crafted a clean, contemporary identity that balances authority with approachability, positioning National Banking Corporation as the bank for everyone, everywhere. Our naming strategy and verbal identity framework gave the bank a voice that feels confident, inclusive and unmistakably Papua New Guinean. Celebrating PNG’s diversity was central to the creative direction, brought to life through a full-scale production shoot that captured Papua New Guineans from all walks of life. The resulting TVC and rich suite of key visuals became the storytelling backbone of a brand identity grounded in local realities. The design system used modular, modern visual elements to ensure flexibility and consistency across every brand touchpoint. From credit cards and brochures to out-of-home and social platforms, every detail was designed to resonate. We also delivered National Banking Corporation’s new digital home, with an intuitive interface that ensures every customer interaction is consistent and effortless. The result is more than a rebrand. It is a national declaration of inclusivity, progress and a commitment to serve all Papua New Guineans.
